Added on: 20th August 2007 at 16:07 by David Wells

Health organisations commissoning or delivering services to children and young people (0-18) are encouraged to join the Children's Workforce Network (CWN) National Reference Group.  CWN and its members pursue the workforce development objectives supporting delivery of Every Child Matters.   The CWN Reference Group is a virtual group with over 300 organisations in membership, including a number of NHS Trusts, 35 institutions of higher education,  97 Local Authorities with Children's Trusts, 30 national voluntary organisations, relevant Government Departments and CSIP itself.  Skills for Health and the health regulators (represented by Nursing & Midwifery Council) are core members of the Network.  Membership is free.  CWN's remit is confined to England but there are Reference Group members in Scotland and Wales.    CWN wants to increase the number of health organisations in membership of the Reference Group.  Please email Hilary Barnard (policy and project management services to CWN) for an application form at hilarybarnard@aol.com.  Further details about CWN are available at http://www.childrensworkforce.org.uk/
